— About
Rayuela.wav is a multichannel electronic and light-responsive work by the duo On Press Off. Born from a residency in immersive sound and interactive media at the Haute école de musique de Genève, the piece takes Cortázar's novel Rayuela as its structural and conceptual departure point.
Like the book, the work resists linear form. It develops a collage-based aesthetic where sound, space, and reactive light form a unified, continuously shifting environment. Fragments surface and recede, creating a dramaturgy of accumulation and dissolution rather than narrative progression.
The Ambisonic diffusion system allows sound to move fluidly through space, while the lighting reacts in real time to sonic parameters, making each performance a singular, unrepeatable configuration of the same material.
