— About
Des Visages marks the duo's recorded debut, captured in 2025 at Studio d'enregistrement HEM in Geneva, Switzerland, and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Samuel Albert. Comprising three original pieces, the EP consolidates the group's aesthetic vision, where acoustic and electronic elements intertwine through improvisation to form coherent and evolving musical narratives.
Partly inspired by literary narrative structures, the works are presented as a triptych titled Introduction, Corpo, and Conclusions (for Peter Evans and Sam Pluta). The latter serves as a modest homage to two artists whose duo practice has deeply resonated with the ensemble's own explorations, and who have long stood as an important artistic and philosophical reference for the project.
With this debut recording, the duo sought to allow sound to become a vehicle for the unpredictable, and for the unpredictable in turn to take shape as form, shaping a work that aims to remain precise in its conception while fluid and open in its execution.
The EP was premiered during the concert Électrons libérés, held at the Black Box of HEM in Geneva on February 21, 2025. Later that same year, the project was presented again in Geneva as part of the renowned Fête de la Musique.
